Among different discourse analysis approaches, Critical Discourse Analysis CDA and Corpus Linguistics CL will be used in the following analysis. Corpus linguistics CL will give us the quantitative data we need to examine how the text is socially constitutive texts as organizing society in the way that NPR classifies and categorizes groups of people into certain social classes Van Dijk, p. 358. We utilized the CL tools: paradigmatic choice, semantic preference, collocation and concordance, and cotext.
